Intro to Tier 3 Problem Solving & Case Study Analysis | Grades K-2
This Tier 3 Problem-Solving mini-series is designed to assist cross-disciplinary MTSS problem-solving teams with enhancement of reading outcomes for students who are most vulnerable, including students with disabilities. Teams will understand the etiology and treatment of reading difficulties at the Tier 3 level, identify a student in need and proceed with mobilization of Tier 3 supports and services. Teams will present student progress after the implementation of intensive intervention.

Describe characteristics of Tier 3 and explain the need for a continuum of technically adequate assessment measures and empirically supported instructional methodologies.

Identify the characteristics of learner profiles related to oral and written language disabilities, dyslexia, and dysgraphia.

Create more sophisticated data-analysis and instructional matching skills.

Apply tenets of individualized problem-solving and align/integrate specific evidence-based methodologies matched to the need of a student who requires intensive problem-solving.
