Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Pharmacy Services Assistant based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of dispensing procedures, supply of medicines and medicinal products, as well as identifying risks and hazards in a workplace environment. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include teamwork, working safely within the standard operating procedures, and demonstrating person centred care.

Successfully met the requirements of the Pharmacy Services Assistant End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as the registered EPAO. The End-point assessment consists of a Simulated observation with question and answer session, a Professional discussion, and a Knowledge test.

Completed a minimum of 15 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Pharmacy Services Assistant occupational standard.

Achieved at least Level 1 English and Maths qualifications.
Standards
The Pharmacy Services Assistant provides a variety of pharmacy and medicines services to patients, the public and other professional healthcare teams. The PSA supports the delivery of pharmacy services in a variety of pharmacy environments.
