Level 3 Network Cable Installer
Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Network Cable Installer based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of equipment requirements, Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs), the Electricity at Work Act, and workforce management systems. Skills and behaviours demonstrated installing, terminating, testing and certifying copper and fibre optic cables, implementing appropriate health and safety procedures and maintaining cyber security.

Successfully met the requirements of the Network Cable Installer End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as the registered EPAO. The End-point assessment consists of a Practical demonstration and questions, as well as a Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio.

Completed a minimum of 15 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Network Cable Installer occupational standard.

Achieved Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
Standards
The role of the network cable installer is to install, terminate, test and certify network cable infrastructure components in accordance with National and International industry standards. Installers work in data-sensitive environments and contribute to the organisation’s cyber security strategy.
