Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated)
Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Pharmacy Technician based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of confidentiality of patient data, risk management, revalidation and safeguarding. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include responding to medical emergencies, supervising other pharmacy staff, pre-packing, assembling and labelling medicines, as well as supplying them to patients.

Earning Criteria

Successfully met the requirements of the Pharmacy Technician End Point Assessment delivered by Pearson as a registered EPAO. The knowledge, skills and behaviours of the occupational standard have been met, externally quality assured and validated for professional recognition with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Completed a minimum of 24 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Pharmacy Technician occupational standard.

Achieved Level 2 English and Maths qualifications. Achieved Level 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification recognised by GPhC.
Standards
Pharmacy Technicians are registered professionals working within the regulatory standards for pharmacy, as set by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Pharmacy Order 2010. They work in a wide range of settings where they manage the supply of medicines and devices in a pharmacy and assist pharmacists with advisory services.
