Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care
Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Lead Practitioner in Adult Care based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of assessment and outcome-based practice, information confidentiality and privacy, and dignity and human rights. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include leading professional development, risk management, partnership working, safeguarding and the Six C's (care, compassion, courage, communication, competence, commitment).

Earning Criteria

Successfully met the requirements of the Lead Practitioner in Adult Care End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as a registered EPAO. The End-point Assessment consists of an Observation of Practice and a Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence.

Completed a minimum of 18 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills and behaviours in the Lead Practitioner in Adult Care occupational standard.

Achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care. Achieved Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
Standards
The Lead Practitioner in Adult Care will guide and inspire team members to make positive differences to someone’s life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional, psychological or intellectual challenges. As a lead practitioner they contribute to, promote and sustain a values-based culture at an operational level.
