Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as a Sports Coach (Community Coach) based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of Sport England Professional Workforce Strategies, professional practice, coaching philosophies and team development. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include developing and delivering coaching programmes, profiling person development dimensions, creating a positive learning environment, and promoting holistic wellbeing.

Successfully met the requirements of the Sports Coach (Community Coach) End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as the registered EPAO. The End-point assessment consists of a Work-based project and presentation with questioning, a Coaching session plan and practical observation with questioning, and a Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio.

Completed a minimum of 18 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Sports Coach (Community Coach) occupational standard.

Achieved Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
Standards
The broad purpose of the Sport Coach occupation is to use extensive technical and tactical sports knowledge and skills to design and deliver coaching programmes that engage, motivate and evolve participants’ skills and performance. It is found in the sport and physical activity sector in high-performance, community and school environments.
