Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner
Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as an Early Years Lead Practitioner based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes applied knowledge of current and contemporary schools of thought to enable respectful and nurturing personal care. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include providing a dynamic, evolving and enabling environment that reflects the current interests, motivations, and play of individual and groups of children.

Successfully met the requirements of the Early Years Lead Practitioner End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as the registered EPAO. The End-point assessment consists of an Observation with Questioning, a Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence, and a Case Study report with a presentation and questioning.

Completed a minimum of 24 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Early Years Lead Practitioner occupational standard.

Achieved Level 2 English and Maths Qualifications.
Standards
This occupation is found in a range of settings which can include day nurseries, playgroups, nursery schools, pre-schools, kindergartens, primary schools, hospitals, social care settings, out of school environments and local authority provision. The broad purpose of the occupation is to be a proactive and influential practitioner.
