Level 5 Outdoor Learning Specialist
Earners of this badge have demonstrated competence as an Outdoor Learning Specialist based on the occupational standard published by IFATE. This includes knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, ethics and accepted good practice related to the safe delivery of learning experiences in the outdoor and indoor environments in which they work. Skills and behaviours demonstrated include creating the conditions for participant engagement and achievement, whilst supporting equality and diversity.

Successfully met the requirements of the Outdoor Learning Specialist End-point Assessment delivered by Pearson as the registered EPAO. The End-point assessment consists of a Customer Proposal Report and Presentation with questioning, as well as an Observation with questions, and a Professional Discussion underpinned by a logbook of evidence.

Completed a minimum of 24 months learning and development to meet the knowledge, skills, and behaviours in the Outdoor Learning Specialist occupational standard.

Achieved Ofqual Level 2 Award in Safeguarding appropriate to the employer's business. Achieved Ofqual Level 3 two-day Outdoor First Aid Award. Achieved Level 2 English and Maths Qualifications.
Standards

Typical impacts are educational achievement, personal and social development, health and wellbeing, nature connection, outdoor science, team cohesion, or practical skills development.
