This course objective is to focus on the most common agencies involved in running the criminal justice system on both the state and federal level. The organization of each agency is examined with a detailed review of its function, administrative procedures, personnel, planning, budgeting, and record keeping.

The method of assessment include quizzes, written papers, examinations, and a comprehensive final proctored exam with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

This is an independent study, distance-delivered course. The methods of instruction include discussion, required webinar, study guide, and textbook. The general course topics include an introduction to justice administration; the police; the courts; correction issues; and spanning the justice system.
