Earners of the Arc Welding badge have developed the skills necessary to identify components, equipment, and processes used in arc welding. They’ve studied safety precautions and personal protective equipment used when arc welding, as well as, maintenance of arc welding equipment. They’ve practiced welding positions, joint designs, and techniques used in shielded metal arc welding. They’ve explored the equipment, techniques, and applications used in gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
