The course objective is to learn about cultural influences on both professional practice and the children and families in educational programs. Students will examine cultural influences on attitude and behavior and childrearing practices. They will study how cultural differences influence the way children act, communicate, and learn. They will focus on language and communication, social skills, school readiness, and emergent literacy.
