The course objective is to develop more effective personal communication skills to increase chances for professional success. Students will identify the basic tenets of interpersonal communication, including diction, gesture, tone and facial expression, and practice methods for improving their skills in each area. Students will also improve their listening skills.

The methods of assessment include examinations, written papers, and performance rubrics (checklists) with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, practical exercises, and discussion. The general course topics include lesson 1- interpersonal communication: oral communication, body language, listening skills, and interpersonal skills; and lesson 2 - graded project interpersonal communication: voice and diction, listening, speaking, eye contact, and body language.
