The course objective is to explain the origin of life and the relationships between all living things. It describes how a significant number of organisms are structured and how they work, to enable students to intelligently discuss the various forms of life and their processes. The methods of assessment include quizzes, examinations, and written papers with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, lecture, and discussion. The general course topics include the cell, genetics, evolution and the diversity of life, structure and function in plants and animals, and ecology.
