Earners of the Advanced Certification in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) have demonstrated that they have an advanced understanding of how MEAL systems and activities are applied in practice by project managers and MEAL specialists in humanitarian and development contexts. This includes the components, concepts, and principles of MEAL; planning, designing, and implementing MEAL activities; data management and quality; and analysis, interpretation, and communication.

Standards
ISO/IEC 17024:2012 contains principles and requirements for bodies certifying persons against specific requirements. The PHAP Credentialing Program has been deemed eligible for accreditation by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and will undergo review and assessment by independent auditors.
