Earners of this badge have developed a foundational knowledge of federal postsecondary accreditation. Participants exit the program with a general understanding of what higher education accreditation is, how it works, and how actors in the system interact. They have also spent time considering critiques of the current system and potential accreditation reforms. Knowledge gained from the program can be used to provide system analysis, write legislative proposals, and craft potential reforms.
