Divemaster (v.5)
The course objective is to bring a diver’s knowledge and skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops leadership abilities, qualifying candidates to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include examinations, presentations, quizzes, performance rubrics/checklists, completion of the divemaster final exam, evaluation of performance during confined and open water training sessions, exercises, workshops, and more with a minimum passing score of 75%.

Instructional strategies include: audio visual materials, case studies, laboratory, discussion, computer-based training, coaching/mentoring, practical exercises, learner presentations, lectures, classroom exercise, work-based learning.
