Public Safety Diver (v.4)
The course objective is to introduce and familiarize the student with the use of special procedures, equipment, scene handling, communication procedures, basic public safety diving search and rescue techniques, and documentation requirements.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include quizzes, performance rubrics/checklists, completion of the 11 public safety diver knowledge reviews, evaluation of performance during four open water training dives and more with a minimum passing score of 75%.
