PR & Communications Apprenticeship
Apprentices complete a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Public Relations whilst working in a PR agency or in-house team. The 18-month apprenticeship is equivalent to a Foundation degree/first year of university. Their occupational competence is measured against industry needs throughout, and they must complete an assessment at the end to confirm they have reached the required standard.

Earning Criteria

Apprentices complete a varied portfolio of work against qualification units which demonstrate knowledge, skills, and behaviours of a PR & Communications Assistant. The units on the qualification are accompanied with 40+ industry training courses PRCA offer to support knowledge and understanding.

Apprentices are employed full-time by a real PR and Communications agency or in-house PR team, whilst completing on-the-job training and assessments.

Apprentices study for a nationally-recognised qualification, demonstrating acquired knowledge and competence to their assigned coach throughout their programme. Towards the programme close, apprentices complete an end-point-assessment which includes a work project, report, knowledge test, and a final presentation.
