To tell effective data stories, you need to combine elements of rhetoric, data science, visualization, and storytelling. To achieve this, students will be asked to engage in active reading of selected articles, to reflect on what they learned by posting to a course discussion board, and practice the concepts. Finally, students will have the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge learned by crafting written requirements in which they analyze data and use it to weave stories.
