Earners of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training badge have developed the entry-level occupational skills required for CNAs to function effectively in long-term and/or acute-care facilities, as well as prepared to sit for the NYSED Certification Exam. They are competent in skills such as assisting with medical procedures, activities of daily living skills, safety and rehabilitation, nutrition and other skills.

The program includes anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of patient care and clinical experience in a residential health care facility. Screen reader support enabled. This is a 120-hour course that includes: 78 online hours, 12 clinical on-site hours, plus a 30-hour externship at a nursing home.
