Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) Training
A peer advocate provides outreach, advocacy, mentoring, and recovery support services to those seeking or sustaining recovery. Certified Recovery Peer Advocate is defined as a professional who has demonstrated competence in performing a range of activities as defined by the IC&RC Peer Recovery Job Task Analysis. Program consists of over 90 hours of training, including a non-credit CRPA Certification Workshop and a 3-credit Addictions and Dependencies course.

Earning Criteria

Attend every session to its entirety, for both the CRPA Training class and the HE 104 (Addictions and Dependencies) course, computer training, 500 hours of volunteer or paid work experience specific to the PR domains, 25 hours of supervision specific to the PR domains, supervision must be provided by a qualified supervisor. Pass the IC&RC Peer Recovery Exam.
