Earners of the Hemodialysis Technician badge have completed a BONENT (Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing & Technology) approved training program. They will work under the direction of nurses and physicians and be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring the patient and hemodialysis machine, perform safety checks on the equipment and systems, and all required procedures upon completion of patient’s treatment. Successful completers are eligible to sit for the BONENT CHT Exam.
