This micro-credential is awarded to students who demonstrate the ability to a. list each of the core competencies of interprofessional healthcare (IPEC, 2018); b. describe each core competency; c. identify each competency in patient simulations and standardized patient cases; d. apply each competency when working in an interprofessional team of students when given a patient; and e. analyze a patient or healthcare scenario. Students graduate with distinction.

Earning Criteria

Complete 4 online learning modules and/or formal case studies consisting of 20 hours. Complete a reflection essays with faculty feedback.

Complete 20 hours of experiential learning activities in interprofessional healthcare including a series of 3-4 hour seminars of interaction with interprofessional teams of students.

Complete 20 hours of project based learning through interprofessional healthcare community based service, leadership activities in interprofessional healthcare, or facilitation of interprofessional seminars.

This micro-credential is not associated with academic credit.

Assessment of completion of micro-credential requirements is completed by a committee of faculty experts evaluating learners artifacts aligned with a rubric.
