Medical Microbiology

This badge is awarded to pre-college learners who gain hands-on experience in medical microbiology, including culturing microbes, analyzing results, and diagnosing infectious diseases. Students will gain exposure to a deeper understanding of the functions and importance of the human microbiome in health and disease and will learn more about the topics of antibiotic resistance and disease outbreaks.
