Earners in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Program for public and nonprofit managers, completed a series of four courses designed to provide public managers an opportunity to increase individual aptitude and knowledge in foundational concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Earning Criteria

Completion of the four courses listed which involve asynchronous work as well as mandatory participation in a live sessions. Course 1: Building Awareness; Course 2: Exploring Race and Racism; Course 3: The Connection Between Race, Power, and Privilege; Course 4: Building a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Organization.
Mandatory attendance in each of the live sessions held via Zoom which last approximately 2.5 hours. In the interactive sessions, participants are challenged to explore and unpack their own biases and identify personal development areas of improvement. Through a range of individual and group experiences, participants learn to recognize blind spots connected to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Completion of written assignments and quizzes included in each of the four courses.
