Earning Criteria

Complete online training for soldering and watch the online training videos on the IDEA Lab website.
Complete the provided online quiz and score 100% on all questions.
Attend and complete an in-person training session, demonstrating adept proficiency in soldering. This includes demonstrating proper soldering and desoldering etiquette and technique and demonstrating proper safety protocols for using solder. An IDEA Lab facilitator must also give the user certification in order for the user to be able to use the soldering and desoldering irons freely.
