Brewing Science
Completion of BREW 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 require demonstration of basic knowledge of brewing science from the biochemistry of beer to the importance of ingredient selection and its effect on flavor and quality. Demonstration of competency is accomplished via regular beer brewing requirements. This badge when combined with the Brewing Operations Badge, results in the Certificate in Brewing Science and Operations.
