The earner of this badge has not only mastered their course content, but has demonstrated their ability to go above and beyond for their students’ needs. These tutors have fulfilled the requirements needed to obtain Level 2 CRLA Certification by offering drop-in and small group sessions, 1-1 sessions, and expanding their knowledge of the Fall Workshops by enrolling in the Peer Tutoring Practicum Course in the Spring.

Earning Criteria

The earner has at least 50 hours of documented tutoring experience (with exception to individual tutors) including their Fall semester hours.

The earner enrolls in and has passed the Peer Tutoring Practicum Course (ID220) offered in the Spring. Content includes but is not limited to: Motivational Theories, Questioning Techniques, Metacognition, Diverse Learners, and Assessments.
Standards
Level 2 is contingent on the program maintaining Level 1 training certification, and focuses on metacognitive and psychosocial requirements for tutoring.
