This micro-credential is the first level in a three-tier Global Competency pathway at Saint Michael's College. This badge recognizes Global and Intercultural Awareness through participation in activities and/or events that enhance their awareness of global issues and cultural diversity, as well as the opportunities for curricular and co-curricular global studies and intercultural experiences on campus and in their local and international communities.

  • Participating in an approved activity enhanced their awareness of global issues and cultural diversity.
  • Participation in an approved information session that provides greater awareness of opportunities in global education and intercultural experiences and the benefits of global competency for career readiness in a global economy and participation in a global society.
  • Written reflection on the student's awareness of global issues and cultural diversity gained through their participation in an approved activity and information session and their plan to develop their Global Competency further.
