SDSU Brave Project (Level 2)

The Brave Project provides students, faculty, and staff with training on sexual and gender-based violence prevention. Participants learn about policies and procedures; rape culture, communication, and consent; identity and power; and supporting survivors. The purpose of the Brave Project is to work towards a campus culture that is courageous, prepared, and willing to take on tough issues relating to sexual and interpersonal violence to create a community free of violence.

Earning Criteria

The Brave Project is delivered via four modules, each focusing on a different topic within violence prevention and survivor support. For each module, participants are asked to read academic articles and book excerpts, or watch informational videos; complete a short pre-test; attend a 90-minute synchronous meeting with Brave Project facilitators; and complete a series of post-module reflection questions designed to assess learning.
