SDSU Identity & Allyship Application 201 (IAAB 201) (Level 2)

Recipients will build on previous work (ILAT Level I, IAAB 101 Level II) and examine how the hierarchies of privilege and power in society, in the context of U.S. systems of exclusion, can manifest into harmful impacts. Participants practice how they can mitigate marginalizing language and how they can examine bias in their positions of power. As a result, participants display application of inclusive skills and competencies and demonstrate mindful allyship application in authentic environments.

Earning Criteria

Prerequisite: Level II IAAB 101 program activities. Participants will complete IAAB 101 and attend three additional workshops: 1. Identifying Bias within Spheres of Influence 2. De-escalating Harmful Language 3. Institutional/Systemic Oppression 201 participants will also research and create a resource (digital guide, poster board presentation..etc) around a social identity, heritage, or culture. Participants must also submit various reflections through the program.
