Earning Criteria

• Verify worker compliance with safety regulations during retrofit
• Evaluate in-process work quality of weatherization and energy retrofits
• Verify on-site documentation, including permitting and reports, during weatherization and energy retrofits
• Verify installed measures and initial energy assessment details after the completion of weatherization and retrofits
• Evaluate installed measures for compliance with standards, including completing diagnostic testing on homes such as blower door depressurization, fan exhaust flow testing, worst case CAZ depressurization, and zonal pressure diagnostics
• Confirm whether policy requirements have been satisfied to bring the energy retrofit project into compliance and file can be closed out
• Interpret and apply related work standards and explain how to use them, including IREC, NFPA fire codes, OSHA, Lead RRP, ASHRAE 62.2, Energy Star (TM), NREL's SWS, and ANSI/BPI
• Discuss and explain building science and the concepts behind 'House as a System' in applying them to inspections and occupant safety
• Successfully passed all quizzes and assignments in the course.
