The holder of this badge has engaged in a series of coursework related to diverse literatures. The earner can design curriculum incorporating literature that represents a wide range of experiences and historical events, and can foster productive dialogue around the literary content.

Earn at least a 3.0 GPA in the following courses: CEG 537 The Immigration Experience in Literature; CEV 542 Surviving the Holocaust: Literature; CEI 518 Literature of American Slavery; and AFH 528: Contemporary Black Literature and Cultural Criticism.
