First Year Course Line Technician Apprentice Program

Students learn to work in elevated positions; principles of safety; history of power delivery; knots, splices and ropes; an overview of the electrical system, first aid, applied mathematics, basic electrical theory, transformer basics and Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Credit may only be received by completing the Second Year (SMDE-0002), Third Year (SMDE-0003), and Fourth Year (SMDE-0004). The recommended semester hours for the completion of all four courses is 33.
