Fourth Year Course Line Technician Apprentice Program

The course objective is to have the student learn about electrical safety; communication systems; special elements; system operation and automation; overhead and underground line design, trouble investigation; crew leadership and perform outside electrical construction activities under supervision. The course completed in addition to the First (SMDE-0001), Second (SMDE-0002), and Third Year (SMDE-0003) courses is recommended for a total of 33 semester hours in the lower-division degree category.
