Second Year Course Line Technician Apprentice Program

Students learn the principles of safety; AC fundamentals; personal protective equipment/grounding methods; live - line equipment and methods; rigging; underground and overhead conductors; electrical test equipment; introduction to substations; and Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Credit may only be received by completing the First Year (SMDE-0001), Third Year (SMDE-0003), and Fourth Year (SMDE-0004). The recommended semester hours for the completion of all four courses is 33.
