Third Year Course Line Technician Apprentice Program

The course objective is to have the student learn about electrical safety; RUS (Rural Utilities Service) standards; metering; system protection and operations; advanced transformers; maps and standards; NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Credit may only be received by completing the First Year (SMDE-0001), Second Year (SMDE-0002), and Fourth Year (SMDE-0004). The recommended semester hours for the completion of all four courses is 33.
