AMD is the Smurfit Kappa Academy's Flagship Talent Acceleration programme. It is designed to equip high potential managers with the skills they need to lead the organisation into the future. Participants learn from subject matter experts from around the group to gain an indepth understanding of the Smurfit Kappa business, and engage in Masterclasses with external experts to develop their skills and capability.

Earning Criteria

  • The 5 week programme takes place in three parts, spread across 9 months. Participants attend instructor led modules (virtual or in person) during all parts of the programme.
  • In small multidisciplinary groups, participants spend 8 months working on a global strategic project designed to increase their knowledge of the business, improve their ability to navigate our global organisational structure and work together collaboratively with their team and others to find an innovative solution to the identified issue. At the programme finale the groups present their ideas to the Group Executive Committee, including the Group CEO.
