Introduction to Leadership & Styles of Leadership

To be a successful leader, you first need to understand what leadership is and how each leader has a particular style. A solid foundation and awareness of the role and value leadership skills play in your daily life will help you understand those you work with and help you be a competent leader when opportunities arise. Earners will have basic understanding of what leadership is and the five basic styles of leadership. They will know their own style and how to identify the styles of others.

Earning Criteria

Prepare a presentation on what leadership is, its value, and the different leadership styles.
Observe two leaders and compare and contrast their leadership style in relation to leadership styles. Write your findings providing examples. Include an analysis of your leadership style; the strengths, weaknesses, and how your style can help you in your future.
