Individuals can identify and describe the importance of safety inspections, methods used to control groundwater and surface water, safety practices and construction methods used around bodies of water, and how to set grades from a benchmark. They understand how grading operations are performed, grades are established for pipelaying operations, and hazardous materials are controlled on a job site. They can interpret layout and markings to determine grading requirements and determine elevations.
