Earners of this badge attended a workshop on how to understand motivation, the sources of empathy and how to be an empathetic leader. The workshop included strategies on how to assess situations encountered in personal and professional contexts for opportunities to express empathy and build rapport with others to strengthen relationships. Earners developed a pledge on how they will engage with diverse groups and proactively seek to improve connections within the broader college environment.
