• Badge earners will be able to:  Express the significance of building student engagement and interaction in online/hybrid courses. Discuss the value of presence and community to create successful online courses. Develop instructional strategies for creating engagement and building community online including the use of active learning.
• Badge earners will be able to: Examine technology tools to increase engagement & interaction in online/hybrid courses. Evaluate, analyze, and develop tools and strategies to create engaging, active, and authentic learning activities/assessments. Create a plan for implementing an engaging learning activity suitable for the online/hybrid environment. Integrate research-based assessment strategies in your online courses.
