Earners of this designation have demonstrated that they are exemplar practitioners in their area of teaching specialty and have shared their expertise with a preservice teacher (PST) over the course of a year. Earners are able to supervise and mentor a PST and work collaboratively with the tertiary partner to ensure the PST receives the highest quality school-based experience.

The earner has been selected and recognised by their Principal as an exemplar teacher in their area of expertise.

The earner of this designation has mentored and supervised a preservice teacher (PST) for a calendar year. The earner supports the PST's understanding of the heart of Christian education. The earner demonstrates an ability to disciple and mentor the PST in their personal spiritual formation and the relevance of being a disciple of Jesus Christ to teaching and learning.

The earner of this designation works with the PST to set development targets and plan classroom experiences. The earner conducts regular observations and provides the PST with feedback on their teaching. Supporting PST reflection. The earner engages regularly in professional dialogue with the PST, analysing elements of the PST professional practice. Explicitly discussing the choice of new ideas or alternate strategies to improve and inform practice.

The earner proficiently uses a learning management platform to support and track PST development against the AITSL Teaching Standards.
