The microcredential recognizes the advocacy skills gained by medical students who complete the Physicians and Social Responsibility elective course sequence. By training medical students to engage in advocacy work, this microcredential supports the goal of improving community health, which requires the kind of policy- or population-level changes that advocacy supports.
