Maths Circles - 12 hours of engagement

Faculty members and students from partner universities of STEAM Pakistan conduct Maths Circles in government schools to attract children towards Maths. The Maths Circles badge recognizes the facilitator’s commitment to nurturing curiosity and love for Maths in children, by introducing them to Mathematical concepts and problems through fun, relatable games, activities and presentations.It acknowledges volunteer participation to inspire a generation of learners who will approach Maths with wonder.

Earning Criteria

  • Prepare at least 6 Maths Circles games/activities/exercises to be conducted with students.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive Maths Circles with students from a partner government school (the average session duration is 45 minutes).
  • Provide Maths-related support and guidance to students (and any teachers present) during their engagement in a school.
  • Volunteer a total of 12 hours of preparation, travel and activity time.
