This fully online course will continue the basics of HTML5 and CSS3 code for the creation of websites following Introductory HTML/CSS. Students will learn to code websites which are responsive (display properly on all devices) and include lists, tables, and web forms while incorporating strong design skills for layout and navigation. This micro-credential provides students with the opportunity to get started in this dynamic career by building on basic HTML/CSS coding skills.

Earning Criteria

Project (with a grade of 75 or higher): Create an intermediate level, responsive 3-page website with original HTML5/CSS3 code. The project will assess the student’s achievement of the above learning outcomes.

Test (with a grade of 75 or higher): One hour proctored exam on intermediate HTML5/CSS3. The test will assess the student’s achievement of the above learning outcomes.

This micro-credential is part of a stackable sequence which must be taken in this order: HTML/CSS Intro; HTML/CSS Intermediate; HTML/CSS Advanced

OPTIONAL: SUNY Broome students completing all three badges may apply for Prior Learning Assessment credit for BIT 173 Website Creation with HTML/CSS.
