This credential is designed to help students develop the skills they need to code websites in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, use a commercial web authoring tool, and understand the business context of websites for e-commerce and digital marketing. It consists of three courses in the Business Information Technology area: BIT 173 Website Creation with HTML/CSS; BIT 186 WordPress for Web Developers; BIT 196 Understanding Electronic Commerce.

Earning Criteria

The first step to earn this badge is to apply for the Web Basics micro-credential through SUNY Broome Community College.
Earn a grade of C or higher in BIT 173: Website Creation with HTML/CSS.
Complete and earn a 75 or higher on the creation of a responsive website with HTML/CSS(completed as part of BIT 173).
Earn a grade of C or Higher in BIT 186: WordPress for Web Developers
Description: Earn a 75 or higher on the Creation of Interactive Website with Web Design Tool (will be completed as part of BIT 186).
Earn a 75 or higher on the Creation of Interactive Website with CMS (will be completed as part of BIT 186).
Earn a grade of C or Higher in BIT 196: Understanding Electronic Commerce.
Earn a 75 or higher on an eCommerce Case Study Presentation (will be completed as part of BIT 196).
Earn a 75 or higher on an eCommerce SWOT analysis (will be completed as part of BIT 196).
