Earning Criteria

• This individual has successfully completed a classroom assessment proving their knowledge of the following:
• Technical foundations including systems development lifecycle stages, data management and analysis, use of visualisation tools, safety and security.
• The design and development of software products using structured software construction methods and ensuring maintainability and testability.
• The design of algorithms to solve computational problems, using basic types of operators and appropriate control logic.
• The application of industry standard architectures and frameworks for stand-alone or web applications (e.g. Digital Design Libraries, Model-View-Controller, Microservices).
• The use of appropriate methods to interact with data sources (e.g. API, Database) and manage application data (e.g. SQL, Object Relational Mapper).
• Operating system portability and appropriate protocols for software interoperability across distributed platforms (e.g. SNMP, HTTP).
• Software testing, issue management, configuration management, release management, software maintenance and security standards.
• Business understanding including the application of technology to deliver business value, risk management, and regulation and compliance.
• Project management processes and tools, including planning, delivery, evaluation and the management of, quality, stakeholder communications and risk.
• Professional skills including client communications, teamwork, self-direction and personal performance improvement.
