Case Champion
Temple University's "Case Champion" badge is earned by distinguished Fox/STHM faculty members, DBA students, and PhD students, who have made significant contributions in business case writing and teaching at the school. Earners of this badge can describe key components, best practices, and strategies when writing and teaching using cases, and serve as peer mentors to others interested in writing business cases. Earners can complete elements from a range of criteria to earn the badge.

Earning Criteria

Badge recipients can earn points towards their badge for the number of cases they have published with a well-recognized publisher in the last five years. Additional points are earned based on the total number of sales by unit.

Badge recipients can earn points towards their badge by adopting a teaching case (self-authored or otherwise) in their syllabus for at least four semesters over the 5-year period.

Badge recipients can earn points towards their badge by participating in a podcast that is available online; creating a professional video on their teaching case, which is now on Fox’s YouTube channel; presenting in a Case Writing Conference; or serving on a Case Writing Round Table Discussion or Panel.

Badge recipients can earn points towards their badge by volunteering as a judge or a peer-reviewer in a case writing competition/ conference, or by serving as a peer-mentor for case writers (student competitions do not qualify for this activity).

Badge recipients can earn points towards their badge by winning a case writing award in the last five years.

Badge recipients can earn points towards their badge by being active on social media (LinkedIn or Twitter) with case writing or publishing updates.
