The NASA you know today was established in 1958, but its historical roots reach back to 1915 -- just 12 years after the Wright Brothers' flight and two years before America's entry into World War I -- when the U.S. Congress created the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). The organization's purpose was "to supervise and direct the scientific study of the problems of flight, with a view to their practical solution" (NASA, 2017 (Links to an external site.)).

(3) Design an experiment using three different paper types and graphing the data to determine which material performed best.
